A bit about me and my passion…
I’m based in Epsom, Surrey and as well as photography, my other job is being a mum to two lively girls aged eight and four. Capturing their special, funny and somewhat hectic moments on camera has been my inspiration as a photographer.
I have thousands of photographs of my girls and each one tells a different story. When they are older, I hope they will treasure them as I do, it’s our family life, it is real, our story.
And that’s what I want to do for you. Without being too ostentatious, as a photographer I like to think my job is to capture a little bit of history for you, to be enjoyed forever.
A bit about my personality….
I’m a real people-person I think; I love a natter and find people-watching fascinating. I love music, fashion and all things vintage, and I like a nice glass of wine and the odd pint of Guinness! I’m told I do a mean spin on the dancefloor (usually after wine or Guinness), I miss lie-ins but most importantly, I adore my family and friends.
Why family photography?
I have always loved reportage photography, capturing those candid moments. And I want those pictures to reflect those moments accurately; natural light and surroundings bring out the best in us all I think. This is the style I chose for my wedding and I think the emotion, happiness, and humour of the day shines through. In practice, things rarely go precisely to plan, but this often produces the best results – when trying to get children to pose, I’ve often found I get my most memorable and natural shots when they decide to not sit still or are not even aware I’m there (the same goes for adults). Please see ‘session information’ for more about your photoshoot and see my ‘portfolio’ for examples of my work.
I relish capturing real moments on camera for myself and looking back on them. I would love to be able to do that for you.
